Curriculum: Tough Questions

For many people, science has sounded the death knell for God. It has shown that God probably doesn't exist, because all the things we previously used God to explain can now be understood as produced by natural processes rather than an all powerful deity. Even if God does exist, he's irrelevant—a bystander in the cosmic drama that began with a Big Bang, became more complex, and eventually achieved conscioussness by means of undirected evolution. This drama has now culminated in a part of the universe—humanity—looking back on itself and learning where it came from. In six discussions designed to get small groups thinking and interacting, each guide in the Tough Questions series deals frankly with objections commonly raised about Christianity. You'll engage in the kind of spirited dialog that shows the Christian faith can stand up to scrutiny. Each study has 8 sessions.

  1. Do Science and the Bible Conflict?

  2. Why Become a Christian?

  3. What Difference Does Jesus Make?

  4. How Does Anyone Know God Exists?

  5. How Could God Allow Suffering and Evil?

  6. Don't All Religions Lead to God?

  7. How Reliable is the Bible?
